And My Position on The Retirement of The Greatest Athlete The World Has Ever Known! M.S..!

I was seriously reflecting on what to share on my blog, which I’ve been carefully and respectfully maintaining for more than one and a half years. It wasn’t easy to put in words the feelings I was overwhelmed by. That’s why it wasn’t until now that I share my opinion with you.

He’s quitting. That’s right.
I decided not to have hard feelings towards “Mercedes”. We all know what they undertook, what they promised to do, what they did and what they did not. Many people think that he was abused by this giant German corporation. This thought is creeping in my mind persistently, imperatively, annoyingly.

He’s calling the day. And he quits because he knows when the moment is right just like every big sportsman knows. He knows when Destiny’s showing him the right path. That’s why he quits for a second time, in his own words “this time it might even be forever.” And maybe it’s not. We won’t be surprised if one day he sits again in an F1 car and breaks the record of the great Juan Manuel Fangio, who won his last Grand Prix win at the age of 46. This is one of the very few records in this sport which doesn’t carry his name with it.

I, the admin of My blog, am just satisfied. Satisfied that the agony called “Mercedes era” came to its end for him.However, I can’t help being little sad, too. I am sad because he’s leaving as if he’s not going to taste again the sweetness of the victory, an emotion so huge that to make him forget which language he’s speaking in… again!

He could give no more, could do no more. It’s not because he’s old, although he’s a real dinosaur according to the Formula 1 standards. It’s because in life you can’t only take, you should as well give. You can’t only give, as well, not without taking. But “Mercedes” did just that – only took, didn’t give. At least they didn’t give him what he was promised. Still, he got something extremely important – the last lesson this great sport could teach him: “losing can be both more difficult and more instructive than winning”. Having learned that it was the moment for him to leave, one way or another.

I don’t think, that he’s quitting from the position of weakness. It’s just the opposite. This season he has been ahead of his young and very talented team-mate in the qualifications more often than not. He also finished just one race behind him (when both of them completed a race, of course). All in all, he performed better than his team-mate, despite the points showing different story. Now we all know what had made him change his mind about the Singapore crash and why he took the blame for it later on. There’s simply no way he could have possibly driven for half a lap normally, braking at the corners normally and then to crash because of cold brakes. Not in the F1 world.

This was a season on a high level for him. A season of a man who was giving his all. We remember his presence at Magny Cours in-season tests. He was there in Mugelo, too, despite being in a different role. It can be described using just one and simple word: motivation!

I wish him bon voyage on the greatest track called “life”. If it was up to us (his followers) we’d have never allowed him to leave Formula 1. We grew up with him and his races, he’s one of our childhood heroes. Yet, we should admit that it’s different when you have a family, especially children. You can’t risk a fatal accident. You can’t help thinking about those you care most in the moments of danger. But even that did not affect him or his wife, Corina. It didn’t affect us, his fans, too. We supported him all the time. He’ll have our support till the very last race and after that. We support him much. We support him now, we support him forever! In our hearts he is the best, forever. Michael Schumacher – forever the greatest!

И моето мнение досежно оттеглянето на най-великия спортист, познавал този свят! М.Ш..!

    Мислих дълго какво да споделя тук, и в този блог, поддържан с внимание и респект повече от година и половина. Не беше лесно да облека в думи чувствата, които ме връхлетяха, затова и коментарът ми идва чак сега.

    Той си тръгва. Така е…
    Реших, че няма да злобея срещу отбора „Мерцедес“. Всички знаем какво и доколко се ангажираха, какво и защо не направиха. Според твърде много хора той бе употребен от тази огромна немска компания. Тази мисъл се прокрадва и в моето съзнание много настоятелно, чак дразнещо.
    Той си тръгва. И си тръгва, защото всеки голям спортист знае кога е настъпил момента. Той знае кога съдбата умее да му подскаже верния път. Затова се оттегля отново, по свои думи “този път може би завинаги”. А може би не. Нищо чудно един ден отново да седне в болида и да счупи рекорда на великия Хуан Мануел Фанджо, спечелил победа в Гран при на 46 години… един от малкото рекорди, който не му принадлежи!
    Аз, администраторът на този мой блог, съм просто доволен.
    Доволен, че агонията, наречена „Ера – Мерцедес“ за него приключи.
    Но няма как да не съм и малко тъжен. Тъжен, защото си тръгва сякаш без да усети отново сладкия вкус на победата, една емоция толкова голяма, че да го накара отново да забрави на какъв език говори.

    Вече нямаше какво повече да даде, нямаше какво повече да направи. Но не защото е стар, макар по стандартите на Формула 1 да е направо динозавър. А защото в този живот не можеш само да вземаш – трябва и да даваш. Също и не можеш само да даваш, без да вземеш нещо и за себе си. “Мерцедес” само взе, но не даде. Поне не даде това, което му обеща. И въпреки всичко, той получи нещо много важно от тях – последния урок, който този спорт можеше да му предаде: загубите ти могат да те научат на повече от победите. След това вече беше момента да си тръгне, по един или друг начин.
    И не мисля, че си тръгва като губещ. Точно обратното..! През този сезон в почти всички състезания, както и в една значително по-голяма част от всички квалификации, в които е завършил/участвал, го е направил по-добре от младия си и талантлив съотборник. Вече знаем защо е поел вината след Сингапур и защо е променил решението си относно вината при този инцидент. Няма начин една кола да спира нормално половин обиколка и изведнъж да не спре поради незагрети спирачки. Не и във Формула 1.
    Един сезон на ниво беше това. Един сезон на човек, който се раздаваше и се стараеше максимално. Помним и присъствието му на тестовете на Маникур. Присъствието му и в Муджело. Мотивация.
    На добър път му пожелавам. Ако изборът зависеше от нас, неговите последователи, едва ли някога щяхме да му позволим да напусне Формула 1. Израснали сме с неговите състезания, за нас той е един от детските ни герои. Все пак трябва да признаем, че е различно, когато имаш семейство и особено деца. Не можеш да си позволиш фатален инцидент. Не можеш да не мислиш за тях във много моменти на риск.
Но дори и това не му повлия.. Нито на него, нито на съпругата му Корина. Нито на нас, искрените му фенове, които го подкрепяме. Подкрепяме го силно. Подкрепяме го и сега. Подкрепяме го завинаги. В нашите сърца той е най-добрият, завинаги! Forever the best! Михаел Шумахер..!
